- Technology is here to stay.
- Technology is rapidly changing.
- Students are "digital natives", meaning most are immersed in technology from the minute they are born; because of this students are programmed to learn much differently than they were just 10 years ago.
- Technology is no longer "in addition to", but rather "in place of" many methods of delivering material.
- Teachers must adapt their teaching style to accommodate this new type of learning.
At what point do the technology leaders in education quit holding hands and accommodating classroom teachers to get them to teach with technology and start hounding them to do it daily so they retain it and it becomes an integral part of the teacher toolbox?
