“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” ― Mother Teresa

So it's been a bit since my last entry. Grades were due today (ugh!!) and I was getting data wall cards ready (double ugh, since the Acuity reports I normally use weren't working right). I was gazing through the Edmodo walls belonging to my various classes and I saw an amazing thing.  Kids that normally wouldn't give each other the time of day interacting, politely and positively, and even arranging lunch & recess plans. With all the cyber-bullying and rude netiquette that is prevalent online today, my kids are not only being civil online (something that is expected at all times) but being genuinely kind to each other. I see relationships developing that would never have happened in person. Many times we see the opposite behavior online, as people believe since they are not interacting face to face they can say and do as they please. Not my kids.

Maybe the Internet isn't such a cold place after all...

I hope I don't jinx them.   (:

This is so true. Excellent post. Truly a look inside more than just technology. June Maddox
